Coldest Winter Day

…as well as one of the driest! The ONLY place with dew points near 70°F (tropical) is south Florida.

Today will likely be the coldest day of the winter… so what do you do to stay warm? Do as I did this morning: soft and warm base layers from head to toe.

MIC (meteorologist in charge) of the Cleveland National Weather Service tweeted this photo on his Twitter account. It seems appropriate for a meteorologist to build a snowman with the snow that comes, doesn’t it?

It may have been cold here in NEOhio, but at least we weren’t experiencing hurricane force winds. For my pilot friends, here’s the TAF for Keflavik Airport in SW Iceland. The highlighted forecast shows winds gusting to 75 mph from the east (at least it was right down Runway 09!).
