Palm Trees

Last week, we followed through on our plan to taste early summer by flying down to Tampa, Florida. With an 8 a.m. flight scheduled, my wife and I were up at 4 a.m. The airport Dunkin Donuts gave me a sigh of relief! (I was using my iWatch to snap this photo on my iPhone, thus the finger on my watch.)

When we left, it was sunny, but COLD.

Our first leg brought us to rainy Atlanta first.

But in  Tampa, it was in the mid 80s°F with a stunning sky!

Sadly, the 80sF departed a day later. We went to St.Petersburg Beach where there were few people braving a steady 25 m.p.h. wind with temperatures in the 60s°F!! At least it felt great to put my toes in the sand.

The wind was so strong that we felt as though we were being sandblasted. You know sand is being carried up into the air when you feel the grittiness of the sand in your mouth. Needless to say, after 15 minutes, we had enough and retreated to the shopping plazas instead.

See the post below for some of the visits we made with at least one familiar face to NEOhio.
