Here is the (visual) evidence of Friday afternoon and evening’s snowfall… a very thin 100-mile ribbon of snowpack on the ground. The snow is not very deep, but certainly enough to show up on Saturday morning’s visible satellite image.

“Protean” is a word that means constant change. If you look at the winds aloft map sequence below, you will find lots of ups and downs in terms of temperature pattern. This is fairly typical as we had into the month of March. Overall, temperatures should return to normal when all is said and done when we finish with the month of March.
