Congratulations my friend!

Our Need For “Rest”

Yesterday, I started the New Year with an online Bible study (with former FOX 8 news anchor Bill Martin via the YouVersion Bible APP) on “rest.” Here are my thoughts on today’s study:

🚫 – REST, Day 2

🚫 – I love this from Apostle Walder: “When we pause and acknowledge that He is God, we’re reminded that He holds everything together, even when we don’t.” ….YES!!!!

🚫 – I don’t want to study this topic as an exercise of spiritual jumping jacks, but to draw close into God’s quiet, cozy bosom. I want to start EVERY day like this! Grabbing a hold of the truth that God actually WANTS ME to cozy up and to be quiet IN Him and WITH Him is amazing.

🚫 – I happen to catch a minute of the ABC Music Awards last night when I saw Ozzy Osborne all dressed in bat-black, sitting on what looked like a black satanic throne… the crowd going wild. Can’t anyone see that spiritual and eternal death is being “celebrated” here? TRULY made me frightened for Ozzy and his “followers.” Yet, God actually WANTS Ozzy to RUN got Him for true rest!!!!

Astronomy, Science

Astronomically, winter arrives early Saturday morning (the shortest day of the year).

After this weekend’s arctic smack, a longer-lasting period of cold appears to develop during the first week of 2025.
